New job means great new skills and also less sleep

I have just completed my first window display at the Bentonville Anthropologie! For the fall season we created patterned cattails (like the plant) and tall green leaves which frame the mannequins within drama and fabulous grace. There is still lots to do for interiors but I am so happy and proud to be done with the primary window! About a month ago I was freaking out because my brain was like NATALIA you are going to let everyone down this is absolutely terrible and everyone will think you are a talentless artist!! I know this is untrue, but these thoughts were definitely swarming in my head with great intensity at a point in time.

Normally in my art practice, and I say this in full seriousness, my process is strongly influenced by vibes and stories. I let a sculpture take me through a display of who they are. Helping them through this like uncovering a giant crystal in the Earth. This new job at Anthropologie is predominantly, NOT vibes based. I have learned so many incredible skills in the few months that I have been working it is insane! I am growing my communication skills, I am hopping on meetings and learning new corporate lingo like “ya ill bubble that up”. I am woodworking, I am painting, I am sculpting. I find myself doing so many different things at my job, and I love all of them. Even when its really difficult and I want to cry. But like actually its so awesome!

Anyways, my new job is great, and I have really been enjoying the woodworking aspects!

Here is to a slayness 2026 full of growth and health.
